Barry Lee Russell, age 69, of Memphis, TN, passed from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Collierville, TN. Born on October 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Oscar and Maurice (Guy) Russell. A native Memphian, he graduated from Westwood High School in 1965.

Barry was a kind and thoughtful man who dearly loved his family. After a successful career in banking, he owned and operated Southeast Vending Company. He loved spending his weekends riding his Harley Davidson, as well as building and racing model cars. He also enjoyed snow skiing, Corvettes, music, playing his harmonica and walking his beloved dog, Gracie. Barry had a witty personality and a thousand one-liners. He is survived by the love of his life, Carol, his brother Don (Susan) Russell, his children Steve (Melissa) Anderson, Becky (Chris) De Louise and three grandchildren, Zachary, Robyn and Cameron. He was preceded in death by his brother John (Betty) Russell and son Jason. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

The family received friends on Wednesday, May 11 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.. Services followed immediately at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5668 Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Page Robbins Adult Day Center or Baptist Reynolds Hospice House.
