{February 15, 1951 - October 19, 2020}

    John William "Bill" Goodwin passed from this life peacefully at Belmont Village on October 19, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on February 15, 1951, to Louis Goodwin Sr. and Elizabeth Goodwin. He was raised in Memphis, Tennessee and remained a lifelong resident until he retired on a beautiful place in Hernando, MS.

    He was a trained electrician on the IC Railroad. Being a jack of all trades, he did a little bit of everything in his working life. When he was unable to work any longer, he became a full-time PawPaw Bill to Granddaughters Graysen & Riley Goodwin, Grandson Christopher Zimmerman, Grand-daughter-in-law Haley Zimmerman and Great Grandson Grayson Zimmerman. We are told that this was the highlight of his career.

    He joined his father, Louis Goodwin Sr., in Heaven. He is survived by his greatest accomplishments, his favorite daughter, Melissa Goodwin Robison, son-in-law, Kenneth "Robbie" Robison, his favorite son, Mark William Goodwin, and daughter-in-law, Danielle Leigh Goodwin, his mother, Elizabeth Goodwin, and 2 brothers Louis Goodwin, Jr. and Mike Goodwin

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 5 to 7 PM at Collierville Funeral Home.
