James Carlton “Carl” Sharpe, 55, of Memphis, passed away January 27, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Tn. after a courageous battle with leukemia. Carl was a graduate of Westwood High School as Class president. He received National English and Memphis Journalism awards and also other honors. He leaves his mother, Margaret Sharpe; father, Ezra Sharpe; brothers, Steve and Cary Sharpe; and three nieces. He was last employed by Helena Truck Lines in accounting. Visitation was Thursday, January 31 at 1 p.m followed by service at 2 p.m. in Forest Hill South Chapel. Forest Hill South Funeral Home.
