JAMES W. LESTER, JR., 59, of Memphis, former restaurant owner in Dallas and Arlington, TX and Little Rock, AR died on Monday, December 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer at Baptist Hospital of Memphis. He attended Memphis State where he was past President of Sigma Phi Epsilon; former President of the Inter Fraternity Council; former member of MSU Student Government Association; former Assistant Manager of Chickasaw Country Club and former Manager of the Memphis Hunt and Polo Club. Mr. Lester is survived by his mother Julia Claire Lester of Cordova; sister Julie Barrow (Noel) of Memphis; brother Klaytin A. Lester of Memphis; aunts, Laura O. House of Memphis and Lynn Lusk (Joe) of Huntsville, AL. Visitation was at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 11 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, and services to follow at 2 p.m. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
