JANICE MARIE (GATLIN) McCORMICK, 48, of Cocoa Beach, Fla. Formerly of Memphis, and Coldwater, Miss., teacher’s assistant at Roosevelt Elementary School in Cocoa Beach, died of cancer Saturday at her home. Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach with graveside services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando, Miss., has local charge.

Janice was a member of Autism Society of America. Mrs. McCormick, the wife of David McCormick, also leaves two daughters, Adrianne Adams Weaver of Antonio and Kathleen M. Adams of Miami; a sister, Phillis Taylor of Coldwater; three brothers, James Gatlin of Hernando, Miss., Donald Gatlin of Covington, Tenn., and William Gatlin of Corinth, Miss. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to Autism Society of America at First Union Bank of Cocoa Beach.
