West Memphis - Larry Samples, 60, policeman for the City of Memphis, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at his home. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14 at Roller-Citizens Chapel and laid to rest in Crittenden Memorial Park. He was a member of Ingram Blvd. Baptist Church, a U.S. veteran, a 32nd degree Mason, Marion, Al Chymia Shrine and Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Mr. Samples, the husband of Margaret A. Samples. He also leaves a daughter, Emmie Samples Barnes of West Memphis; his mother, Dorothy Faye Mangum of Jackson, MS; two brothers, Carl Mangum III of Jackson, MS, and Chuck Kennedy of Corinth, MS, and a grandson, Conner Barnes of West Memphis.
