Henry Michael (Mike) Coker, 61, passed from this life from natural causes in his home in Jackson, Ms. on Tuesday morning, December 23, 2008.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Regina Kathryn Coker; three daughters, Dawn Marino of Monroe, La., Audrey Coker of Memphis, Tn., and Lisa Walker, of Monroe La., and three sons Gabriel, Joshua, and Justin of Jackson, Ms. Michael was blessed with eight grandchildren, Maria, John Luke, Danna, Isabella, Mickey, John Michael, Dane and Leigh. Born in Amory, Ms., Mike, grew up in Memphis, Tn. and enjoyed the company of eight sisters, Charlotte, Bonnie, Mable, Leta, Glenda, Raye, Faye and Brenda, and three brothers, Jeff, Barry, and Andy. Mike graduated in 1965 at Westwood High School in Memphis, Tn. He worked as an independent contractor in the Jackson area for 18 years and was admired by employers and co-workers. Mike was a kind man who loved his family and dedicated his life to serving the Lord. The life and legacy of this wonderful, sincere man, Mike will be continuously celebrated by everyone he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents Audrey Caldwell and Arnold Ray Coker and one brother, Barry Early. Visitation was held on Friday, December 26, 2008, and after 10am Saturday December 27, 2008, at Dayspring Community (where Mr. Coker and his wife were in fellowship). Funeral service was held at 11:00am Saturday at the church, were interment followed in Clinton Cemetery. |
