Patrick "Paul" Hess, Jr., was born June 14, 1949, Memphis, Tennessee. At the age of 57, he died October 14th, 2006, after a massive heart attack on October 3rd. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2006. Graveside Service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 17 at Forest Hill South Cemetery.

Paul leaves his loving wife, Mary Meyer Hess and beloved parents, Pat and Mary Hess of Southaven, MS; a son, Patrick Paul Hess III and granddaughter , Jessica Hess of Arkansas.

Paul grew up in Memphis, attended Levi Elementary and Westwood High School, where he participated in many school activities, including sports. He was known as the 'Pun King' by many of his friends and is remembered as a kind and soft spoken gentleman. He was a graduate of Memphis State University.

He was in the grocery business before entering the gaming industry. Paul worked for Harrah's Tunica, Harrah's New Orleans, Greektown Casino, Detroit, MI, Harrah's St. Louis and was currently employed as a 
Casino Supervisor at Horseshoe, Tunica.
