        Phillip Wade Garrett, age 68, died Friday, September 28, 2018 in Pontotoc County, MS. He was born January 4, 1950 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Buford and Thelma Louis Garrett. He was a 1968 graduate of Westwood high School in Memphis, TN and was self-employed as a cabinet maker all his adult working life. Phillip married Elizabeth L. Maynard nineteen years ago in Water Valley, MS on November 22, 1998. They spent the almost twenty years of marriage in Munford, Tn., before moving to Belden, MS in late 2017. He was a devout follower of Jesus and a member of The Orchard.

        A memorial service celebrating Phillip's life was at 5 PM, Monday, October 1, 2018 at The Orchard with Rev. Will Rambo and Rev. Mike Gibson officiating. Visitation was Monday from 4 PM to service time only. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

        Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Maynard Garrett of Belden; his children, Christopher Garrett of Nashville, TN, and Brandy Garrett Anderson of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Gage Christopher Garrett and Cameron Garrett Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sherry Garrett Cox.

        The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made in memory of Phillip W. Garrett to Hell Fighters International, One Freedom Square, Laurel, MS 39440-3367.
